Family-Friendly Las Vegas

Frankly, ALL pools are family friendly, maybe with the exception of the Hooters pool. Here is my list of hotels with the best family friendly pools in Las Vegas, from personal experience, research and advice from others. The order of my choices may confuse and surprise you, but I often also consider affordability and location in my selections.
You can go directly to Hotels.com from this site to book your hotel at some of the lowest prices available, or go to the Family Friendly Hotels page to read more, or to do a price comparison of all hotels in Las Vegas.

13 acres of pool styled as a real beach. It's enormous! It's actually several pools, but the biggest is the giant wave pool and beach area. There is a lazy river and the wave pool as well as some "regular" pools. There is also a separate pool area for the Four Seasons hotel guests.

I love the Monte Carlo Pool scene. Young attractive 20 somethings mix with families with screaming kids. The bar is fun, active and open. There is a large wave pool and a lazy river with tubes for rent. Two hot tubs warm the adults, while the kids go crazy in the main pools. There is even a baby pool shut off from the other pools by a big fence and baby-proof gate. Monte Carlo is in an excellent spot along the central Strip. The rooms are clean and newer than other mid to low priced casinos. The only drawback is the construction next door, which will end by early 2010. After that prices at Monte Carlo will go up, so take advantage of cheap prices until that time.

This has to be the most beautiful pool in Las Vegas. The Mirage has a series of tropical themed lagoons where waterfalls cascade into the pool and they even have three waterslides. The pool area can get crowded, but it is protected by security who checks keys.

I always add The Palms to my list because it has on-site daycare, but it's also great for adults. The pool is the place to see and be seen in Las Vegas during the daytime. The pool has been completely remodeled to fulfill any water-lover's dream. It has the most contemporary and "hip" décor of them all. Even more enticing are your choices of bars within the 4-acre paradise, and there are 27 private cabanas with all the amenities. The coolest part of the whole layout: A glass bottom pool located on the deck of the second level. Guests on the main floor can look up for some really unusual, "undercover" ever-changing scenery! If you just can't bring yourself to leave when the sun goes down, the pool offers three two-story poolside bungalows with an outdoor deck and Jacuzzi. And if you get to Vegas a day early, the Palms' pool has quickly established itself as scene-central for Fridays.

The Excalibur pool seems to be recently updated. It's a very large area and nicely decorated with a restaurant and a bar that serves cocktails in yard glasses that hang from your neck for $10. The young kids have a large shallow area in the main pools. It's a relaxed and mixed scene at a lower price than other Strip hotels.

One of the best pools in Las Vegas with rooms starting at $33. There are two pools here, one huge pool with waterfalls and a swim up blackjack table and one smaller pool with smaller waterfall that is ADULTS ONLY. The Tropicana closes the part of the hotel that is underneath the Island Tower in winter and heat the pool year round. If you're planning on spending a lot of time in the pool, you might want to consider an Island Tower room. The elevator goes right down to the pool area.

I see lots of really nice photos of the Stratosphere pool. This hotel has lovely rooms, it is always inexpensive, it has great entertainment for the kids with the rides at the top, and the pool scene is great. If you have a car, and want to save some money while still staying on the Strip, consider this casino hotel.

Everything about Bellagio is luxurious. The Bellagio pool is an Italian courtyard with a gelatto stall on-site.

I have only recently heard that this is one of the best pool scenes on the Strip for kids and adults alike. The Flamingo has a beautiful lagoon-themed pool area. I'm reluctant to recommend it however for two reasons. 1. I've received reviews from people who say it is very child unfriendly. 2. When I tried to book recently they charged extra for each child, almost doubling the price of the room.
